Highlights
Ms. Lang practices intellectual property, with an emphasis on litigation, anti-counterfeiting strategies, procuring and enforcing trademark, copyright, trade secret, domain and internet assets, and publicity rights for her clients throughout the country and world. She also advises clients on data protection and privacy law compliance, and she guides individuals, start-ups and publicly traded companies through complex commercial transactions involving the acquisition, sale or transfer of intellectual property, technology, know-how, trade-secret and other valuable non-tangibles. Because art, innovation and competition are industry-wide, her representative clients are diverse, including, without limitation, those in the areas of online streaming, audio and sound, machinery, agriculture, restaurants, hotels and food, medical devices, healthcare, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, green energy, real-estate, entertainment, TV and film, rights advocacy, sports, finance, publishing, fashion, and photography. Ms. Lang also lectures on intellectual property law at several universities. Prior to entering the legal field, she interned in the West Wing of White House, played NCAA Div. 1 Water Polo, and worked as an ocean lifeguard for the State of California.
Education
Ms. Lang earned her Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law, where she graduated Cum Laude and served on the Executive Board for the Duke Law and Technology Review. She also received a Master of Public Policy from Duke University. Her master’s thesis focused on the National Court Appointed Special Advocate and guardian ad litem CASA/GAL Association. Before Duke, she earned two B.A.’s from the University of Southern California, graduating magna cum laude with high honors in each degree.
